Washington International School, Karachi
The Washington International School (WIS) (Urdu: واشنگٹن بین الاقوامی اسکول) is an international school located in the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) area of Karachi, Pakistan.
WISDOM Educational Society is sponsoring education programs at the Washington International School since 1994.
Major incidents
In September 2011, a bomb blast carried out by the Pakistani Taliban targeted a senior police officer residing in the area. The impact of the blast severely damaged Washington International School, Karachi, killing one teacher and a student
