West Galena Township is one of 23 townships in Jo Daviess County, Illinois, United States. As of the 2010 census, its population was 3,323 and it contained 1,849 housing units.

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 11.2 square miles (29 km), of which 9.5 square miles (25 km) (or 84.82%) is land and 1.7 square miles (4.4 km) (or 15.18%) is water.
