Ziaran

Ziaran (Persian: زياران) is a city in the Central District of Abyek County, Qazvin province, Iran, and the former capital of Ziaran Rural District. People of Ziaran speak an Iranian language named Tati.

At the 2006 census, its population was 4,287 in 1,168 households, when it was a village in Ziaran Rural District. The following census in 2011 counted 4,279 people in 1,299 households. The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 4,749 people in 1,251 households. The village of Ziaran was elevated to the status of a city in 2019.
