Central District (Ardal County)
The Central District of Ardal County (Persian: بخش مرکزی شهرستان اردل) is in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Ardal.
History
After the 2006 National Census, Mashayekh and Naghan Rural Districts, and the city of Naghan, were separated from the district in the establishment of Kiar County.
After the 2011 census, the villages of Dashtak and Kaj were elevated to city status.
Demographics
Population
At the time of the 2006 census, the district's population was 51,960 in 11,163 households. The following census in 2011 counted 37,187 people in 8,978 households. The 2016 census measured the population of the district as 35,179 inhabitants living in 9,434 households.
