Kakavand District
Kakavand District (Persian: بخش کاکاوند) is in Delfan County, Lorestan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Haft Cheshmeh.
Demographics
Population
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the district's population was 23,598 in 4,574 households. The following census in 2011 counted 21,837 people in 5,172 households, by which time the village of Haft Cheshmeh had been elevated to the status of a city. The 2016 census measured the population of the district as 19,127 inhabitants in 5,284 households.
In 2023, Itivand and Mirbag Districts were established, with two rural districts each that were transferred from Kakavand District and the Central District, respectively.
