Qarah Aghaj-e Pain

Qarah Aghaj-e Pain (Persian: قره اغاج پائين) is a village in, and the capital of, Angut-e Gharbi Rural District of the Central District of Ungut County, Ardabil province, Iran.

At the 2006 census, its population was 738 in 168 households, when it was in the former Angut District of Germi County. The following census in 2011 counted 761 people in 193 households. The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 720 people in 207 households.

In September 2019, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Ungut County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with Angut as its capital and only city.
