Conflict of interest

This is what I wrote shortly after joining Wikipedia, (with the reference formatting later edited), and it is further discussed on my Talk page:

Hi Everybody!
I joined Wikipedia yesterday, and made some changes to Lee Weiner's page. I do have a close association with Lee Weiner - he is a member of my family. I do not receive, and I do not expect to receive any compensation for these edits. From my view, the page contained content that was unsourced and poorly sourced, and my edits are an attempt to add reliable and verifiable information to his biography, as it relates to his notability. I also believe that this article would significantly benefit from additional contributions, and I am asking for help because my goal is to advance the aims of Wikipedia.
Thank you!

I do not ever edit for compensation or expectation of any compensation. I have since also extensively edited the Chicago Seven article, for similar reasons related to the state of the sourcing and information in the article, and because the majority of the content added was not directly related to Lee Weiner. I have also worked on articles for related films, including Conspiracy: The Trial of the Chicago 8, Steal This Movie!, Chicago 10, The Chicago 8, and The Trial of the Chicago 7. I also started an article about the book Generation on Fire: Voices of Protest from the 1960s, which includes a chapter about Lee Weiner, and is also written by a family friend. My research for this article reminded me that during the development of the book, I was interviewed, but ultimately not included in the book.
