Hey there, I'm RyanCross (talk·contribs), a Wikipedian. I first started contributing to the English Wikipedia during mid February 2008 when I saw that "Log in / create account" link. I wondered, "What would it be like to have an account on Wikipedia, one of the most popular websites in the world?" After creating my account, I was amazed and astonished having known that I can actually edit and change Wikipedia articles, making it visible across the Internet and the world. From there, I decided to stick around Wikipedia. Even today, I'm still contributing to this site, and hope to continue doing so, helping to make this world a better place, one edit at a time.
You can get in touch with me through a number of different methods. My talk page is available to take messages, but please feel free to use e-mail for sensitive issues. Hopefully, I'll be able to respond to your message(s) soon. If not, I'll respond to them when I get to it.
I'm probably one of the nicest editors there is around, and I do like to help people, but please don't harass or provoke me. I won't retaliate, I'll merely revert. That being said, feel free to ask me any questions you have, just be civil, and don't personally attack other editors.
General notes
If you have concerns about my editing habits or general behavior, please address them on my talk page. You have my assurance that I have acted in good faith, based on my experiences with article writing and wikipedia policies. I am not out to get anybody, and hold no strong views on large groups of articles, however individually review each article and make independent decisions. If you still have questions regarding my conduct, please feel free to address it.
Below is a list of articles I have created or have significantly contributed to. Articles in italics are articles I have significantly contributed to, but did not create. (For an automated list of articles I created, click here.) Some articles listed below have a certain status(es) such as WP:ITN, WP:DYK, WP:GA, WP:FA, etc. The following key indicates which icon refers to what status:
No vandalism since final warning. Re-report if this user resumes vandalising. The edit that led to that final warning is the last edit they've made. Daniel Case (talk) 20:34, 4 October 2024 (UTC)
Edits are not vandalism. Please ensure recent edits constitute vandalism before re-reporting. Adding links to the official music video uploads on YouTube may or may not be appropriate per consensus, but these additions do not appear to be spam as described in Wikipedia:Spam - Aoidh (talk) 02:35, 5 October 2024 (UTC)
Insufficient recent activity to warrant a block. Only three edits in the last month and this is the only one reverted since September 6. The one and only warning on their talk page is stale. Ad Orientem (talk) 04:06, 5 October 2024 (UTC)
Maithil hoon(talk·contribs·deleted contribs·nuke contribs·logs·filter log·block user·block log) – On Maithili language: vandalism after final warning; actions evidently indicate a vandalism-only account. I am writing to report a user who is persistently vandalizing Wikipedia pages related to the Maithili language. This user is adding unsourced data, inflating the number of speakers without any credible sources, and removing the actual Census figures. Additionally, they are including misleading linguistic maps that encompass several non-Maithili speaking districts. Despite several warnings, this user continues to edit Wikipedia according to their own preferences. They are also not seeking consensus on the talk page, even after I have informed them about this several times. I believe a temporary block is necessary to prevent further damage.
