User Editing During Ongoing Dispute Resolution – Request for Administrator Intervention

Involved User: @Skitash Article: Algeria Date: 18 aug 2024 Summary of the Issue: I am writing to report that User @Skitash has continued to edit the article Algeria despite an ongoing dispute resolution process. The discussion on this matter is currently taking place on the article's talk page and/or a formal dispute resolution page Wikipedia:Dispute resolution noticeboard. However, the user has made several edits to the article, which undermines the integrity of the resolution process. Details: Ongoing Dispute Resolution: The dispute was brought to Dispute Resolution Page today. The matter is actively being discussed by multiple editors. Despite the ongoing discussion, User @Skitash made the following edits:

1240947874

this is problematic due to the first source provided by the violating editor which has a problematic nature as discussed in the Talk:Algeria#Ethnic groups Algeria, the user is stacking sources to hide this.

Impact on Dispute Resolution:

These edits are disruptive because they cause stacking of sources that are controversial to one another

. This behavior goes against Wikipedia's principles of collaboration and consensus-building, particularly during dispute resolution.

Request:

I kindly request that an administrator reviews this situation and takes appropriate action. This may include warning the user, temporarily blocking them from editing the article, or protecting the article to prevent further disruption while the dispute is resolved.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. Please let me know if any further information is needed. Potymkin (talk) 13:07, 18 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I have had a quick look and it appears like it is a complicated issue to handle without some knowledge of the area in question. I will be away without internet connection for a couple of weeks so feal that I will not have chance to look at this at the present time. I think you need to look for some one with some background in the area of dispute. Keith D (talk) 19:05, 19 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
thank you very much for your input, it is greatly valued. I understand your situation and I am happy you had time to reply, thankfully some admins intervened and now have found a final solution, its to completely remove talk about ethnicity for a country page of Algeria which is a republic with no real official stance on race as a type of government that disregards racial background. I hope you have a nice day sir Potymkin (talk) 22:30, 20 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
