Miyan Taleqan Rural District

Miyan Taleqan Rural District (Persian: دهستان ميان طالقان) is in the Central District of Taleqan County, Alborz province, Iran. It is administered from the city of Taleqan. It is in the Alborz (Elburz) mountain range.

At the census of 2006, its population (as a part of the former Taleqan District of Savojbolagh County, Tehran province) was 9,873 in 2,779 households.

In October 2010, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Taleqan County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with the city of Taleqan as its capital and only city.

In the most recent census of 2016, the rural district's population was 2,271 in 859 households, by which time the county had become a part of the newly established Alborz province. The most populous of its 24 villages was Zidasht, with 816 people.
