Molla Sara (Persian: ملاسرا) is a village in, and the capital of, Molla Sara Rural District of the Central District of Shaft County, Gilan province, Iran.

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 1,403 in 372 households. The following census in 2011 counted 1,417 people in 427 households. The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,561 people in 512 households.
