I'm older than I should be, born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada some decades ago. I have lived in Holland Landing (in York Region, north of Toronto) since 1994.
I have a daughter who graduated with a Bachelors of Music (Classical vocal performance) from McGill University in Montreal. She previously studied through the Royal Conservatory of Music (Toronto) and performed in Opera Atelier's production of Mozart's The Magic Flute in November 2006, as one of a trio of spirits. Daddy's a wee bit proud, as you might have guessed. She taught English over in Gimje, South Korea for two years after earning her degree, and works at Medieval Times in Toronto.
I spend a lot of my Wikipedia time on articles about places and things in York Region, Ontario watching out for vandals, disambiguating things, and adding bits where I can, particularly related to Education in Ontario. I started the articles for:
- Pickering College - kudos to Brad94 for developing the material
- Brother André Catholic High School
- Netsilik School
- St. Joan of Arc Catholic High School - subsequently turned into a redirect due to vandalism.
- Avon Maitland District School Board
- Stouffville District Secondary School
- Near North District School Board
- Glendale High School (Tillsonburg)
- Upper Canada District School Board
- Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario
- Fred Travalena
- District School Board Ontario North East
- Mississaugua Golf & Country Club
- Toronto Golf Club
- Halton District School Board
- Keewatin-Patricia District School Board
- St. Clair Catholic District School Board
- Michael Rudder - wounded during a terrorist attack in Mumbai
- The Rowdyman - a famous Canadian film
- Wapos Bay: The Series - a program for kids on APTN
- Bill Lake - Canadian character actor with over 170 credits
- Brian Stemmle - Canadian skier, member of the Canadian Ski Hall of Fame
- Scarboro Golf and Country Club - four-time site of the Canadian Open
- Trillium Lakelands District School Board
- Professional Football in Canada
- Catholic Independent Schools Vancouver Archdiocese
- Topley, British Columbia
- Robert Gordon (director)
- Chris Rossouw (rugby union born 1969)
- David Ferguson (geologist)
- 2013–14 Toronto Raptors season
- Outline of New Brunswick
- Phil Williams (Alabama senator)
- Steve Gray (rugby union)
- List of Canadian winners on the PGA and LPGA tours
- Peninsula Shores District School
- Oakdale Golf & Country Club
and have developed the articles for Bigwin Island, Essex County, Ontario and York Region. I try to make improvements wherever I can, including providing article assessments as well as geographic coordinates for Canadian articles.
I am proud to say that I have also had several users (or rather, mis-users) blocked from editing Wikipedia, after detecting their 'vandalistic' behaviour. (Count started Dec 3, 2019: 39)
Here's a little project of interest to me: /300games. And another. And a navbox. And an article being kept for the future. And a golf list.
That's enough for now, methinx..................PKT

Thanks for your appreciation, PKT...my own birth-father has a page here at Wikipedia, believe it or not, just look for the name Don Earle in the English language Wikipedia, and you'll have found him - it's part of the reason I'm such a huge Boston Bruins fan ! Places I've visited
I was born and raised in Windsor, Ontario and have lived in Ontario all my life, presently in a town between Toronto and Barrie. Following are the flags of the other places I've been fortunate enough to visit. It doesn't count if I've only transited through a location, such as Shannon, Ireland, Dallas,Texas, Tennessee or Kentucky.
Countries
- note 1; I've been to Wales, Scotland and England. My parents were both British emigrants.
- note 2; visited Hong Kong in 1996, the year before it was ceded to China.
Canadian Provinces and Territories
Haven't been to The Rock yet, but my wife has been there twice (without me!).
